Chanda Murphy


After a health scare several years ago, Chanda knew she needed a life change which led her to yoga and then onward to meditation and mindfulness. With a PhD in experimental psychology, she is drawn to not only the physical and cognitive benefits of these practices but also the underlying science. She is currently conducting research on different mindfulness interventions and working with clients to reduce stress using meditation techniques and HeartMath™ technology.
Chanda earned her RYT 200-hour yoga certification with Kim Anderson and Tamara McColgan of True Yoga East, studied Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) with instructor Michael Burnham and completed Cognitively-Based Compassion Training (CBCT) with Dr. Lobsang Tenzin Negi.
