Jay Stone, LMSW
A graduate of the University of Memphis, Jay is a Licensed Social Worker whose concentration includes both clinical and infant mental health. As a stay-at-home father during his children’s formative years, Jay brings with him a lifetime of experience working with people across their lifespan including young children, families, adults, youth, and the elderly. As such, in meeting people at the intersection of their lives, Jay’s passion involves helping people connect with their authentic self and others. With an eye toward treating attachment and trauma, Jay’s experience includes perinatal-infant mental health, family systems work, individual adult mental health, residential adolescent, intensive outpatient, and palliative care. A trauma survivor, Jay maintains that “horses saved his life” and uniquely understands the therapeutic human-horse bond and seeks to combine his love for horses and people. As a current equine enthusiast, when not enjoying time with his family, Jay can be found with his young horse, Goose. Jay is currently working toward clinical social work licensure, his infant mental health endorsement, and certification in Natural Lifemanship.
