Make a Donation

Our Happy Place is a 501c3 non profit entity established in 2019. We established Our Happy Place (also named after our farm) to create scholarship funding for those who could not otherwise afford treatment, and for cost in caring for donated, surrendered and rescued horses, including food, bedding, and veterinary services. If you would like to allot your donation toward a specific cause, please let us know your request.

In our first year, 2019, we maintained the care of nine horses, and Connections Counseling was able to scholarship over 20 psychotherapy sessions and 20 nutrition counseling sessions at no cost, and over 400 sessions at a sliding scale to children and adults surviving eating disorders and post traumatic stress disorder due to traumatic childhood experiences, first responder work trauma, traumatic loss, traumatic birth, and human trafficking. Much of our expenses are paid for out of our budget, and pro bono sessions are a part of an experienced therapist’s practice at times; however, in order to serve those we wish to serve with thorough, holistic, quality treatment and provide care to animals in need, it is tremendously helpful to have additional support and funding.
